As part of our previous post stating we have received numerous reports of people misusing Asphalt to play highly offensive songs, we have been closely monitoring this, and felt the need to post an update with what we’ve done so far.
From the 1st of January 2022 to today, 21st of June 2022, we have had 106 instances of people using this bot in this manner. Now, thankfully, this is a very small percentage of the total amount of commands being used, but it’s 106 instances too many.
We have permanently blocked these people from using the bot with no chance of appeal. There were a total of 3 people blocked, as these people were repeatedly requesting these songs. Their data has since been completely erased from Asphalt’s database.
As per usual, if you spot someone misusing the bot in this way – feel free to either use a!report @user reason in your server, or DM the bot directly with a screenshot and we will look into it.
Update (about 5 minutes after posting this): We have had 2 of the 3 blocked people create support requests which, once again, contain highly racist messages.
